The amazing thing about Port Melbourne is two things:
1) The Borough is not aligned with a AFL club (ie Sandringham/St Kilda), so therefore doesn't have to call on players dropping back from its AFL club to make up the numbers;
2) The Streak. When you think about the standard of VFL football these days and the number of AFL players running around with its VFL club, it's incredible to think that Port is still undefeated.
So, is this current Port team the best ever in the history of the VFA/VFL; or are its great teams of the 1970s and early 1980s that contained the names of Cook, Swan, Harland, Allan, Profitt a rival to the current Port's team of the title of best VFA/VFL side ever?
