Yeh alright fair call mate. worded like that sounds much better that saying hes a lazy w***er lol

Sounds better, but end result is the same - he clearly didn't have the attitude required to be a Swan. We have been much better served by less talented players who put in their all every week.

Yeah delist a guy with talent and play a spud like playfair who ends up just populating the list. We traded all the little goal sneaks. Monty should have been used in the pocket next year.

... Moore? Veszpremi? Possibly Rohan? We have a couple who are far more talented and necessary than Monty.

Moore I would rate on par the others a little ways to go yet. We are in a small rebuild as such so I understand it. Stil think we were missing the likes of Davis, Schnieder and Monty through injury that are integral to a teams success. The small forwards chipping in with a reasonable tally of goals is such a key when you have main targets. Much the way O'Brien was to plugger. They had poor seasons and got broomed. Felt it was a little early for them to get the flick. I've had an off season then come back and nailed the next so I always like giving players another chance especially if they are my fav ie Nick Davis so fairly biased there. Best part is Veszpremi looks like Davis so it was good to see him running around acting like a goose when he kicked goals.

Davis was such an enigma. I can't remember too many better kicks then Nick Davis, particularly from 40+ metres. I think his old man was an ex player and kicking coach...he was just deadly accurate.

From what I remember he always battled with the rigours of being an AFL footballer. He was a bloke who liked to endulge in junkfood, piss and a punt (preety much like most of us). I think Nick constantly battled with his weight and dreaded the skinfold tests. He was a throwback to the stars of the 70's and 80's and would be an ideal country league star.

It's really a shame because he truly was a mercurial talent who never reached the heights his abilities could have taken him.

Thanks for the video link, brought back some wonderful memories.
