To perform a search before starting a new topic click on the 'Search this Forum' box on the far right hand side of the screen and type in what you are looking for.

Select 'Search by Thread' or 'Search by Post' and click 'Go'

* There are many more options in the "Advanced Search" section, including the ability to search for posts by a particular user and to search for posts based on a period of time.

This definitely needs a bump.

I am sick of idiots not using the Search facility because a thread isn't on the first page. These morons that either assume no one has heard of the big film that they saw last night, or that TV show that every man and his dog is watching. Do these idiots not think that maybe there's already a thread on whatever they have only just discovered?

I am specifically talking about the Media board. Too many idiots just start threads without doing a search for the film or tv show that they think needs a new thread.

They deserve a yellow card for a first offence. But the Media forum has only one dedicated Mod and it's not heavily moderated anyway. So, what gives? I suggest an update to the Board Rules in that forum to remind people "Search before starting new threads!!!!".
