Hauritz to Morgan in the 23rd over i think it was. Morgan sweeps, the ball just passes Haddin to much Oohing and Ahhing, but no appeal.

We my little trigger finger which is usually trustworthy was up testing the breeze in the lounge room, but no interest from anyone, not even the commentators even after replays. Hit in line, for mine hitting leg and height looked fine, given leg byes - at least worth the shout.

Given Morgan was the huge threat at the stage, this would've been a huge wicket! Its hard to remember the last time (perhaps ever) that international cricketers havent appealed when id given the finger, hoping i dont have to put the little fellow into retirement. Anyone else give it or remember it?

I remember Steve Waugh getting a (relatively) big nick through to James Foster off Harmison in the 02/03 Ashes and the players not appealing at all

Yep, smashed the cover off it. Barmy Army were going nuts at the time so they couldn't hear it. They saw the replay on the screen and saw the huge deflection, tried to appeal but it was too late. Very scratchy knock that one from Waugh. He had a huge migraine at the time and really struggled. People were questioning his position in the team yet he was performing so much better than Ponting was in this years Ashes.

I remember it well and was thinking exactly the same as you. If it wasn't out, it was only missing by a centimetre, and at least deserving of an appeal. When I see all the futile appeals that go up these days, it was so surprising to see one so close go unchallanged. It definitely pitched in line and possibly hitting near the top of leg.

Years ago I was watching the Redbacks playing NSW. The Blues' wicketkeeper Emery snicked one into the keeper's gloves, no appeal. I just assumed I was hearing and seeing things because no mention was made at the time. Then they came back from the commercial break and they showed the 2 batsmen middle of the pitch, and it was obvious Emery was telling his team mate he had snicked the ball and was laughing about it, so they replayed it, and sure enough it was an obvious edge.

As I said, players appeal for just about everything these days, so it's incredible they don't appeal for ones that were out, or very close like Morgan's.

Last season I think there was an LBW were Hauritz only gave a half hearted appeal and the replay showed if they referred it they would've overturned the decision and given it out.

At the time I thought it probably was not out but would've certainly given a much larger appeal than what he did..
