HRT must find buyer by June 1

As I alluded to back at the time of the Australian GP at Albert Park, HRT is in trouble. Holden bought Hrt of the failed TWR outfit when it went into administration to keep the team alive. An offical decision has been handed down and CAMS has said that Holden must find a buyer for HRT before June 1 or else they will not be allowed to compete in the V8 championship until they do.

This ruling stands by the CAMS directive that manufacturers are not allowed to own a V8 team. Although both Holden and Ford do have a large imput into some of the teams they must not directly own a team. 6 weeks is not all that long to find a buyer consideering the ocmplications and it is extremely likely that Skaife will have to sit out a round or 2 because of this.

This happened because Wakinshaw wasn't content with being a reasonable sized fish in a big lake, he wanted to be a Shark in the ocean(F1) this was the only failure he's been involved in as a team owner and unfortunately brought the whole thing down. At one time he had the best touring car and sport car teams in thr world and this was in the pre HSV days(before his 'illegal' VL Commodore broke in 4 laps at Bathurst 88 too, after he protested every major teams race Sierra in the country in qualifying) It's a shame it ended like this, for a few years he had tre best Sportscars and Group A tourers in the world, a few yrs after he had the quickest Zakspeed Capris, BMW csl's and Mazda RX-7's in the business, Oh well F1 can do that to almost anyone i guess.

Lowndes was never that happy at Holden,
never got treated correctly,
at Ford he is happy as a Larry.

I think Ford have a chance this year,
and yes,I hope that they (HRT) dont find a buyer,
but it is VERY likely that they will.

I heard that Skaife has banned the media from raising the issue at press conferences. He's neverous as hell about it because CAMS won't back down on this one.

Only 10 days to find a buyer.

Geez, I'd be that happy too if I got showered with money the way he does. He can drive crap and he'll still get paid the big bucks.

And doesn't it stink too. I'd be surprised if they allow it because I don't think Holden could prove it is an arms length transaction. This will just have Skaife's name on the the front but owned and run by Holden.

Unless Skaife but up the $7.50 bid on ebay

Skaifey now owns HRT - on paper only. He works for Holden themselves anyway (if anyone's read his book you'd know how much he does for Holden anyway), so Holden own Skaife who owns HRT.

Does anyone know if Skaifey bought the TWR stable from Holden/Tom Walkinshaw therefore being owner of HRT/K-Mart/Team Brock, or did he just buy HRT outright?

There was no metion of Skaifey buying or being the owner of K-Mart and Team Brock. Hopefully, he has or those teams have found another owner because the series would be pretty boring withouth them.

I heard Peter Brock on being an owner driver and he reckons it is extremely difficult and it effects your performance. Will stop Skaife winning the title this season I reckon.
