The HRT will most likely miss the Grand Prix weekend in Melbourne. This is due to Holden buying out the team from TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) who are in receivership. Under the V8 supercar rules no manufacturer is allowed to directly own a team. Holden now have to find a buyer for the team to enable them to compete.

The director of racing at Holden said he hoped it could be solveed but Ford have notified the ruling body that they will buy a team immediately if the allow HRT to compete whilst owned by Holden.

It affects 3 teams......HRT, K-Mart Racing and the Young Lions.

There is a meeting to try and resolve the Issue Today. I expect them to be given the Ok to race in the interim until a New buyer can be found
