still underrated ?

Watch the last 4 mins against port . Single handedly won the last 4 centre clearances when we couldn’t buy 1 centre clearance for a quarter and a half, setting up 3 goals for us and putting us back in front with 40 seconds to go.. and unfortunately not getting quite enough boot on the last 1 to set up the goal for port. But the effort was there.

Guys a gun, and handles big moments .

One of my favorite players in the AFL. He is a beast.

His attack on the ball is unconventional. If he can't get clean possession it doesn't worry him. Just get it to the advantage of a team mate.

Same around goals. He knows where they are and doesn't care if it's not pretty. Just gets the job done.

The game sense will come, but it cost us last night. Hard to be too tough on the guy, as I'm sure he will be on himself.

The guy plays on instinct and an enormous desire to compete and I love it. Very rarely is he beaten in consecutive contests. Plays to his strengths very well.

Our 3rd best midfielder behind M Crouch and Sloane.. but it's incredible how fast he's closing that gap.

Could have used him 2 years earlier, would be in his absolute prime now.

This. I love it when (and he does this on a regular basis) he toepokes a goal from a stoppage. Pulls them out of his arse.

This and needs a proper preseason, not one where he has surgery 2 months in... Reminds me a little of where Dangerfield was at pre 2012, dominates the clearance/contested work, but struggles to get involved around the ground due to fitness making him half a gun midfielder.

Paddy got himself ultra fit over the 2012 preseason and almost doubled his possession count. He may not reach Paddy’s heights, few will, but if Hugh can get himself ultra fit, he’ll suddenly start getting more outside ball, make more contests and become a more complete player.

Hope Hugh finally gets fit this offseason.

Him, Matt and Brad should our starting mids with Gibbs and Sloane on the wings.
Smith and Laird at HB.

His inside work is immense. It;s just such a shame he doesn't get to spend the minutes there like he should.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great option and genuine threat up forward but still has such low TOG overall. Would love to see him really boost his TOG with more minutes at the coal face and resting at FF, rather than on the bench.

You sing the tune of a wannabe mod and a good one at that

On greenwood.

Club regards him as big game player. Big game players get knocked around. Handling that takes years and years being knocked around. Which hasn't had

Club also recognises his poor is very poor and not worried. He's there for pressure situations

Gave up a lucrative career in America to play this game.
