Did you have a look at this game?
What are your thoughts.

Didn't get to game in the end. Even when I saw Osborne's outs I still thought they would get over the top of Cul. Obviously I had better change my tune, Culcairn are the real deal.

Any other reports from Games?? I ended up in Melbourne for a couple of weekend games!

Notice farrer league under 24s ruckman,? Tim Willis. From a few reports on the rep game, i heard he was one of the best players on the ground.
Guess Mark sanson would be kicking himself. Henty dont have a genuine ruckman, sanson let Willis slip.
Apparently Sanson told Willis he wasnt good enough to play senior Football. And was just lucky to be in hentys senior side last year.
Maybe time for sanson to eat his words on that one.
Rivcol better sign him up for next year Before Matt Klemke trys to steal him from the Pigs.:D
Is Tim the brother of Chris?? Be suprised if bug got rid of that blood line, From memory Willis played second fiddle to West last year. Is west struggling or you just don't rate him GK?

Hornet, was told by a bloke that was there (Muzza) that Osborne did not score a goal until the 3rd qtr and Cul's defence was ruthless. Hart beaten all day (very rare) and the Cul boys were paid a visit by the Cats President(Mr O'Connell?) in the rooms after the game and he told them that was the biggest defeat he had witnessed on their home game in the entire time he had been at the club.
they well and truly deserve their place at the top of the ladder now!
dallas lodge continues to dominate with another 3 goals, and with Chad Willis to come back, there's another 3 or 4 goals.

Heard not only willis was missing so was boswell from cul, and last years prominent backman P Smith returned to the seconds. Is there any truth that culs no1 ruckman from previous years has bought himself a new pair of boots and shall be retuning this week?

yep brother of chris, built similar, bit taller, really good tap ruckman, and gets better around the ground every outing, just seams sanson would rather give time to his albury mates over good local talant that may just require a bita time to develop.

West is ok, but from what ive seen wont match it with the best ruckman in the league. Last i saw of him he looked a bit slow and carrying afew to many kilos. But in his credit he has a fair dinkum crack.

I dont know what drug your on goalkicker,if you have a look at our list you would see that we have a lot of locals.Willis wasnt good enough to get a game,so he decided to move on.Knowing big Tim,he will have a good time at the Pigs and maybe come back one day a better player.go swampies.

Someone may know the exact result but didnt Howlong beat them by 100 points up there last year. Can someone from Howlong or Osborne confirm this or post the scores from last year.

Just gotta check my facts here, but we are currently in the 2007 no? I mean i might just be a bit ignorant here but generally i thought teams tend to change from year to year and there performances tend to differ a little bit. By all means though 2006 form is extremely relavant at this time of the year, i'm glad your on top of things keep up the good work:thumbsu:

How could going to Rivcol make him a better player? Rivcol are a "rabble" (your words Bowwow - not mine). It would be interesting if Rivcol rejected Tim and sent him to Culcairn with the other "rejects", who by the way, are 9 - 0. :D:D

My comments are in relation to the biggest win at Osborne in recent times nothing to do with current form etc. But thanks for the sarcasm. I also remember Howlong losing the final perhaps the same is in store for Culcairn, although I think that everyone would like anyone but Osborne to win it.

if you want to be 100% correct and are that ####ing picky, go for a drive to Osborne and have a chat with President O'Connell.(he made the comment after all) maybe Cul's win was "better" executed than that Spiders win??? let us all know the outcome when you get back Benched.

What a load of sh!t... Better executed. Sounds like he was p!ssing in your pockets.

Both Tim and Westy are great players in their own right. Tim was on the return from a knee reco last season and played a bit part for the Swampies from the bench without seeming to really fire. All the words suggest he has been in great form for the Bushpigs, but keep in mind that he is also playing for a weaker side in a weaker comp. Its great to see him find some form though, I think his a faily handy footballer.

I wouldn't be too critical of Sanson as he hasn't seen Tim at his best and I also don't think he would have told Tim he wouldn't make it. I'm sure that Mark would have loved him running around as a back-up to big Westy.

My thoughts are Tim chose to have a run around where he will play a more prominant role (I think he would have been pressing to beat West to the No. 1 ruck), and just have a bit of fun up that way with a bit more game time.

Sounds like you are the one being picky knob jockey.

Sanson told willis that he was just lucky to be playn first grade last year, he told willis that he was only in the side because westy couldnt do all the rucking himself.

Going to rivcoll doesn’t necessarily make you a better player on the field but it can make you a much better player off the field. A football list of young ‘uni’ boys who party most nights of the week and club sponsored by a pub in wagga makes for drastic improvements in your off field drinking game! Maybe this is the reason why the rivcoll boys have slotted in so nicely down at culcairn (the best off field team in the hume), they might not get much of a wrap on the field but I bet they can probably sink a few after the game.

And I think it might be 8-0 Daicos Fan, dont get too ahead of yourself, you have to actually beat walla to be 9 wins!

Good to see the Lions Arent getting ahead of themselves seeing they have already won 9 games out of a possible 8,but hey your a Collingwood supporter your excused for not being able to count properly.Oh yeah the lions would be real happy with the win over Osborne 2nds on the weekend, the BUSHPIGS would have beaten them on the weekend.Bring on the finals, the Lions will be out in straight sets.:D

lol there you have it folks, intelligent comments from an intelligent man. Not sure if u noticed that both ur teams lost on the w.e bowwow so would seem ur sh*t out of luck on that front.

Will Sanson coach Henty again next year ? What clubs will be looking for coaches next year ? Anyone have any idea or inside information ?

How does everyone think howlong will go against culcairn? From what ive been told it will be a great game to watch! I think howlong will be a much stronger opponent than osbourne were when they played culcairn! Based on a few injury clouds circling the lions i think that howlong will beat culcairn! How will freun, bosley and costello pull up?

DRUNK:D:D

Speaking of Fruen, how has his season been? He is not making the best too often out at Culcairn. Is he struggling a bit or are all these recruits taking the lime light off a good player from the backline?? Even if he was struggling I would still consider him a worthy interleague option (if required) as I feel he should be still be playing in the O&M.

Curious to know what team of the past 10 years of the HFL would be the best they've seen. Craig Smith's Osborne side of 2001 (i think - beat Holbrook by 100pt in Grand Final). Obviously everyone would have their sentimental favourtites but curious who and why for a bit of banter.

Big Al, i know it is not in the last 10 years but Culcairns side of 1993 Coached by Peter Copley and Kerry Bahr was a ripper! beat Osborne by 40 points i think? Copley would not accept beep test results under 11 I heard! Shannon Barber kicked 124 goals including 23 in one game (allbeit against Burrum)

News from the lions den is that culcairn will be without in form ruckman John Campbell due to his fiancee most likely giving birth over the weelend in kerang! This will leave culcairns ruck division seriously depleted as their 2nd change ruckman has taken a leave of absence due to personal reasons!
