i am not a carlton fan but id be saying hurn

I think Hurn is more likely to be available at #4.

given the choice i would take Kennedy.

I kknow he is not touted to go that high, but i really like the sound of Marcus Drum to add stability across our backline.

I would probably agree with Hurn aswell, we need some tough blokes in our midfield especially as he is a future leader. Can kennedy play back because thats what we need another good key backman any other good backman going round

You'd take Kennedy over Hurn if choosing between the two, but that's unlikely to happen at #4. I'd say Kennedy will be gone by then, most likely to Hawthorn at #3.

I don't think i'd be disappointed if Carlton were able to get either, but given a choice, i'd take Kennedy. A guy that should be able to play next year and has the ability to play CHF or CHB, yes please!

The will probably be no decision required as one of the 2 will probably be selected before our pick 4. So either one will be be just fine.

The question to ask is if Kennedy has already gone , then do we take Hurn or KPP (Your choice of any left -Ryder Dowler Lucy ,etc)????

I think the club should take Hurn if he is the best available player available as next years draft is pretty rich in kpp's and one would expect a bottom 4 finish again (priority pick again maybe - I hope not)

A poor man's Buckley will be of more benefit with Kouta on his last legs and Carlton needing a ready made player.The Thorps, Hansens and Sellars sound more impressive than the KPP that are available this year.

as hurn is likely to be a mark ricciuto in and under midfielder.
Hurn is ready for AFL next year where as kennedy will take 2 or 3 and is more likely to be a dud.

Kennedy for me too. Not overly sold on Hurn at the moment and pretty confident that Carlton will go KPP at pick 4.

Our midfield stocks are depleted, especially with Kouta nearing the end. We lack quality in and under midfielders and Hurn will provide us with a good option.

Carlton also have several developing KPPs already such as Hartlett and O'Halphin and can add more with Pick 20.

Carlton need everything so i wouldn't be choosing hurn over kennedy because you need midfielders. Anyway you will have priorities next year so you can choose midfielders then if need be.

I believe that this argument is however pointless with Kennedy most likely going to end up at the Hawks.

Like i said, i really wouldn't mind either of them. It's a toss of a coin. Doe anyone think that Hawthorn might go for Hurn given the Central Districts connection between Hurn and Clarkson?

If either were going to the blues with murphy id be fairly happy. Its probably a win-win pick.
The kennedy-murphy combo would sound great on draft day
