Do you think that someone could survive only having a thin sheet of brain tissue?

This is a pretty amazing story I thought. Has anyone heard of Hydranencephaly before?
I have heard this in Biology class, although it wasn't a main topic too study on, it was on the exam. Is it true that the infant/Adult who has the condition may suffer from seizures? I do know that this disease/condition is uncurable.

EDIT: 75 IQ? That seems a little high considering his condition.

Hello,
My Son Had Hydranencepaly. Kids With it are happy kids even tho they can not talk or walk. They have problems holding up there heads cause the size. And yes they do have seizures. Some are blind some have hearing problems. Docs tell you the baby will not live for longger then 5 min. My son lived tell almost 5 he passed 2 months before his 5th bday.

lol sorry I have a thing about liking people to know cause alot dont think its possable to live with only half a brain or just a small part.

Hollie
