Leon Higgins was a backline player for the Swans. He grew up in Tocumwal NSW before playing over a 100 games for the Swans and a year for Hawtjorn. I chose his name as he was a fine gentleman known to my wife who were friends. He was clever and would have done well in any career before football snatched him away from his destiny.

I enjoy true crime forum and am sometimes surprised at the depth of knowledge of some of the participants. I hope I can add value to the discussions where appropriate.

He was bright, he was targeted by the swans while at school when he should have been left alone to complete school. Eventually ended up a cop. That’s the snatched reference. The talent scouts should stay away from school aged children.

The way you phrased it initially made it sound like the Swans were just snatching up kids from schools.
They were owned by a guy named Geoffrey Epstein Edelsten after all...
