icon changing

i went to the icon factory and got some icons. I want to replace the boring Word and Powerpoint icons with better ones. Any ideas how to do this? i can change the folder icons easy enough but i dont know how to change the icons for the apps.
Windows XP by the way.

You can't change icons on the actual executionable file, but it's easy to change a shortcut (the vast majority of icons on your desktop). Right click on the icon, select the 'shortcut' tab and click on 'change icon' . I'll let you work it out from there.
