I tell you after the K Hunt penalty (which I still shake my head at) if Swallow gets weeks for his report I may have to give up this game and move onto something tougher like darts or lawn bowls.

WTF are they doing to our wonderful game, its a physical game let them be physical.

Will probably get a week, I think. Swallow couldn't help it as he was falling down, but he hit the Eagle pretty hard in the head. From recollection?

Him out will be massive. Has really tied together our midfield and is really courageous. Some of those bumps yesterday were amazing.

As much as I think there was nothing in either of them I thought Swallow's was probably worse than K's who was almost stationary at the time. The MRP appear so inconsistent to the casual observer that it's almost impossible to predict their decision.

The one's I don't understand are the fair dinkum whacks to the back of the head during a marking contest...let me tell you after a couple hundred games of footy, there is nothing "incidental" or "accidental" about those incidents and yet they are just green-lighted.
But Special and Spitter will get weeks for truly unintentional acts.

Spot on, these are seen as part of the game, apparently punching someone in the melon is perfectly acceptable 50 times a game but K and Jnr Spitz are in trouble for incidental contact.

One act is premeditated and the other isn't yet it is the former that gets you weeks, just ridiculous.

Selwood got up pretty much after he heard the whistle, and there seemed to be a fair amount of contact/pushing from Ablett as well. Swallow hit Selwood's shoulder with his hip, while both were falling over. From my point of view, he won't be suspended.

Seems the MRP doesn't look at the intent of the players any more, Swallow and Hunt were not doing anything intentionally malicious .. unlike Selwood for example.

What would happen if a player negligently knocks out a player from his own team by accidentily collecting him high? Could he be cited by the MRP ?

Even sub 100 points (carryover points/no games) or accepting a reprimand, ala Dustin Martin will rule Swallow & Darling out of rising star contention.

Rising star winner will be Zac Smith by the length of the straight if he continues his current form so it doesn't matter if they get a reprimand,

Really looking forward to him playing on his big brother, maybe he can show him the sights, the brand new SUNS owned stadium, the sun and sea and charm him into joining the most exciting young club in the AFL as he is a real talent and would complete a dominant clearance structure. Zac, Ablett, Risho, Senior and junior Spitz WOW what team.

You can't hit people in the head. Scooter got up pretty quick as soon as he heard the whistle, which may save him but I would say a one week suspension is coming up

Did he hit him in the head though? It looked more like Swallow hit his shoulders with his hips. Couldn't tell on any camera angle shown. MRP will hopefully have better coverage.

They seem to have made sensible decisions this week, at least in all of the incidents I've seen footage of. Swallow deserved to get off, Darling's report was a joke and good to see Rchard Douglas get off for his hit on McMillan as well.

(Selwood was pretty lucky:o)

"Great news for GC SUNS fans, the report against David Swallow has been withdrawn. He is set to play against North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night."

Knew there was nothing it it. Good to see him able to play against his brother on the weekend.

If Selwood stopped running around like a mountain goat, bashing his head into anything that moves, everyone will be a winner ;)
