Sorry, got carried away! The Eagles are on a roll, 2 in a row. Apart from the 8 points we have on the ladder, it's the confidence to the new players that will spur us on. We're starting to gel together as a team and we're helping each other out in the tight situations which was totally different in the Geelong game.

Im trying to ignore all of you guys so that im not too dissapointed when we lose our next 10 games.
Hopefully though if i continue to think that my beloved Eagles suck we will continue to win

Our rise up might not be dramatic, but that is only because of the big loss to Geelong. If not for the percentage we could be in 6th place. A win on friday will lift us into the top6.
Unfortunately we have Essendon in Melbourne after that, so 4 in a row is probably out of the question.

Don't want to put a downer on things, but remember we've only beaten last years 16th and 13th teams.
Though I do think we can win this week and have three in a row for the first time since 1999. But Richmond are so unpredictable!
The week after I'm afraid I'll have to tip against the Eagles. Sorry.

alot of people are doubting the quality of the opposition we've played:
Round 1 v Geelong: ok, this was a shocker, forget this
Round 2 v Sydney: nearly overcame one of the premiership frontrunners, coming into the match with 3/4 players out, and played the whole second half without interchange.
Round 3 v St Kilda: St Kilda are expected to be one of the big improvers this year - maybe they're not quite going to be a big improver, but remember it was they're home ground advantage
Round 4 v Fremantle: 24 points against a crap side may not seem that impressive, but it is the biggest victory over Freo this season. Carlton only defeated them by 1 point, Collingwood by 17 points in Melbourne, Hawthorn won by 23 points.
Just a quick bit of trivia - the last time the eagles won 3 in a row was rounds 12 to 14 in 1999. The last time the Eagles won 4 in a row was rounds 3 to 6 in 1999 (we also won rounds 1 and 2 in 1999).
I think we may win 4 in a row. Maybe itis an omen that the last time we won 4 in a row was rounds 3 to 6 - like it would be this year if we won 4 in a row.

I think the next two weeks we will really find out where we are at. Richmond and Essendon are two quality sides and if we can win at least one on them i will be happy.

but Tigers are definately the underdogs.
There are a few interesting points:
* Tigers have never won in Perth against the eagles.
* West Coast have never won 3 in a row under Ken Judge.
* Richmond rarely win 3 games in a row.
By the look of that, things seem to even up. Richmond are always very dodgy on the road for some unknown reason and Eagles are very proffesional and usually play like top 8 contenders at home games.
I'm afraid i'm tipping against my side.
But i havn't given up the faith!

Good lord I hope not - look what happened that year. Unbeaten to R6, then a complete tailspin
Good assessment BTW. If the Geelong game were played again this weekend I think the result would be a lot closer

RF#1 - nice try to make yourselves the underdogs
You guys are 3 - 1 and touted as top 8 contenders and we are 2-2 with wins against the wooden spooners from last year and probably the wooden spooners this year. Everyone believes we are a bottom 4 side so i definitely think that we are the underdogs!
Plus how long can this Subiaco-Eagles hoodoo go on for ... since 87!!! You have to win sooner or later its laws of average.
But with all that said Eagles by 16 points
