After watching todays abismal effort I don't feel all that dissapointed.
Why you might ask?

Because this is exactly what I expected.
No doubt 8 out of 10 freo supporters marked this down as a win at the start of the season (including myself), which ensured a loss.

We took a step forward during the pre season, but after today we took 3 steps back. It wasn't just because we lost, it was the way we lost.

Quiet a few people seemed to think this year was going to be different, once again the club tricked us into thinking there was some hope.

Expect the same as the last couple of years.

Fantastic wins which give us hope it's coming together.
Then next week losing to a bottom 4 side.

As long as CC remains at the helm expect to be up one week, then down the next.

Exactly my thoughts when watching today's game. Too damn stubborn to change tactics.

An embarrassing display, if I was on the board I'd be suggesting that they CC be fired. Put Harvey up there and lets get on with it.

Same kind of play from last year. That's what hurts so much. Idiotic long kicks to 3 on 1 contests.

I'm not dissapointed, aye?

That is the very reason why your club is still in the languishing position it has been since inception.

Your people around the club accept mediocrity and things will not improve until the club does away with that long held view.

Not dissapointed, you should be livid.

I don't understand why so many people rate Mark Harvey. Sure he couldn't be any worse than Connolly, but I don't think he is the answer. His weekly appearance on Foxfooty gave the impression that he was the old school footballer with plenty of courage but not much between the ears.

I'm worried that Harvey has come across with the assurance that he's got the gig if things don't work out. There are plenty of experienced coaches who could be interested in coaching a club with a good list and the 3rd highest membership in the league.

If things continue like today (and we have a tough run from rounds 3 to 9) I'd be happy for Connolly to get the heave ho during the season- aslong as Harvey isn't guaranteed the job, Schwab has no role is selecting his replacement, and Pavlich stays put.

i agree completely why did essendon get o'donnell if harvey is so good?wouldnt they have kept him for when sheedy goes.connolly struggles on game day but isnt that why broadridge and harvey are there?I realy think connolly is the answer long term if he can get them going consistantly.

Connolly struggles on match day, but he also struggles to discipline and motivate the players, which makes him a very poor coach. The supporters know it, the players know it, and Schwabb knows it. That's why Harvey and Shaw were brought in, because discipline and tactics are seen as their strengths.

You would have to be in the box to know if Broadbridge and Harvey come up with good tactical suggestions in the box. Maybe they throw up some great ideas, but it's up to Connolly to pick up the phone.

THis is the strong perception around the traps. Essondon have lost nothing moving harvey and shaw on

I was angry from 1995-2001.
I was very angry in 2004 & 2005.

I have been angry and dissapointed for far too long. Now I am at the stage where I am very slowly losing interest. It's just more of the same. Up one week, down the next.
I am amazed that our membership is around 35k, us freo supporters are a very loyal mob.

If we fail this year, and when CC walks into the airport to leave W.A. I will kick him in the arse and say " Thanks for wasting the last 4 years Bozo!!!!"
