Nah, I take personal responsibility for the Melbourne loss.

In 2009, I was (briefly, thankfully!) going out with a girl who went for Melbourne. I remember when we beat them that year, I light heartedly ribbed her about how bad the Dees were.

We broke up a couple of months later. And we've never beaten Melbourne since.

My bad.
