hey guys im not a saints man, just wondering will there be any inclusions this week, and if so will they be same old same old fringe players like blake, montagna, peckett or schwarze who get another nod, or will they go with players untried or rarely seen this year such as gram, ferguson, houlihan, moyle etc

i think they should give these younger guys a go to see if they have what is needed to play for the team and in case injuries occur leading up to finals these players have had a crack earlier in season and know what is needed

any thoughts?

cheers

Blake's certainly not a fringe player, I was surprised that they decided to bring him back via the VFL but I think he'll come straight back in this week. He'll take Hamill's place I imagine.

Moyle is out injured and although was dominating possession wise at VFL level I don't think he is up to AFL standard.

I'd definitely like to Ferguson and Gram a run in the seniors. Both were very good for Springvale on the weekend. Houlihan has the typical Houlihan family trait of being too inconsistent from week to week. Considering it's his third year without playing a senior game, surely they'll give him a chance before the year is out.

It's hard to comment on who will come out of the side because they were all so ordinary. Goddard's been very up and down so far but he was one of our few good players on Saturday.

Agree Grayza. I'd love to see the young kids given a go, to see if they have what it takes.
Blake aint a fringe, he's slowly getting a cult following now. Its great to see really.
Probably a good to give the kids a run (not the kids like Goddard, Dal Santo, Maguire ect) against the hawks, week before the bye, coming off two losses. However I still think there will be minimal changes this week. We'll find out in a few hours.

thanks guys, looks like they went with the same sorts of guys

i like the look of blake wouldnt mind him at my club (i wont divulge although you can easily see LOL)

anyway, thanks again guys, good luck with rest of the season

Hopefully I'm safe here in front of the computer. I don't think I'd be as courageous on a talkback radio station when Ivy from Port Melbourne calls in.

Perhaps Ferguson might be in line for senior selection in a fortnight to replace the injured Koschitzke. Unfortunately he doesn't have the height of Kosi but has played well both in defence and attack for Springvale this year.

The other idea I have is a bit more out of left field but perhaps Nick Stone could get promoted. I'd say he has been Springvale's best player for the past 4-6 weeks in a rucking role so with his height and current form he may be a short-term replacement.
