I have begun to notice a common trend down at the Melbourne Footy Club...
Whenever an indigenous player changes their jumper number, bad luck seems to follow them.
When Jeff Farmer switched from 33 to number 8, he has a very poor season, causing him to change back the next year.
Austin Wonaeamirri switched from 39 to 33 at the end of the 2008 season and has played half a NAB Cup match since.
And the most recent one, Liam Jurrah, switches from the 48 gurnsey to number 24 and cops a 4 month injury.

In contrast, Aaron Davey has been worn the number 36 since his debut and is one of if not our best player. Please dont change Flash.

Scott Chisholm changed clubs and was shit.

Not sure how that helps your argument but it makes me feel better to say it.

P.S - Sean Charles bombed when he switched to #1. In fact pretty much everyone recently has - there's another curse for you.

I knew Warnock was damned when he changed. Bail on the other hand, might find a new lease on life in the 44. 41 still stank of Carroll.

Jurrah and the Fitz could do a swap. Just imagine the Fitz taking a Robbo like screamer.

Wona on the other hand is more complicated, as moving back to 39 would mean Jetta getting switched. Possibly Jetta could take Whelan's 45 - Nev seems to enjoy the rough stuff like Wheels did. Wona could then reignite the 39.
