i will not reveal my sources but this is the inside news. lets just say it comes from someone close to the coach.
Richo - 6 weeks
Bowden/Gaspar/Cameron are all carrying groin complaints that in a normal situation would be rested for 1 month, but the side doesnt have that luxury at present. these injuries are restricting them on the field.
Unlikely to play finals due to horrendous injuries. youngsters will be given every opportunity between now and end of season.

Rest them for a month. If thats the problem than fix it. In the mean time the young guys get a chance.

Injuries ?

If this is true, you'd think the club would treat the injuries before they get to be major problems for these players which could lead to other injuries due to players trying to compensate for lack of mobility.

It's not as if we will be competing in the Grand Final, surely the time is ripe for our youngsters to step in, while our regulars get their injuries and Confidence FIXED !

is it time....

At seasons end we need to take a hard decision with Bowden and Gaspar....and also King. Trade them for the right draft picks and players. They are all replaceable.

Bowden : wingman - covered by Dragga, Fiora, Tivendale and also short term by Cameron, knights and Campbell.

As for Gaspar.....If the ball went forward more often than back, we would need him less straight away...and we would still field a backman anyway in Holland, Vardy, Homewod or A.Kellaway.

Obviously you can't replace him, but you can go close.

The premiership sides rarely have their best player on the half back line.

The emergence of Mcgrath and Ednie would offset Kings loss.
King will never impact like McLeod, Peverill, Black, N.stevens.

Consider this :
Zantuck Vardy Hall
Torney Holland Cameron
Fiora Coughlan Tivendale
Campbell Ottens Poyas
Krakoeur Richo A .Kellaway
Stafford Hilton Rodan

Interchange and emerg's from :
Ednie, McGrath, Dragga, Mills, Pettifer, Knights, Chaffey, Houli, Hyde, Newman, Homey.

Add our new guns to that lot. It looks fresher and slicker right away.
Knighta and Campbell are on veteran list.

Time's up for Huddo, Sziller, Dunc, Rogers, Bidders.

And why do all this ? I actually rate Gas and Bowdo...so do opposition coaches ; which is why you sacrifice 'em. We either get used to the bottom 4 or we get an engine room...simple. We can't get an engine room with pick no. 40 and we can't swap one for Biddiscombe and King....we have to draft one like brisbane and Essendon did...with top 10 - 20 picks.
And we also need 3 talls...sorry the news couldn't be better but ; IT'S REBUILD TIME IF WE DONT WIN TOMOROW...or even if we do.

Could also give you guys an opportunity to develop an alternative gameplan to the "just bomb it long to Richo" approach you have now.

Get your youngsters out there, teach them to tackle, teach them to go hard into the packs (something you've lacked in recent times IMHO), teach them to use the ball intelligently.

These injuries can present your club with a golden opportunity to rebuild you somewhat two-dimensional gameplan

cheers and good luck Saturday night - its gonna be a scrap !
