I generally sit in Aisle 10 at TD which is right behind the interchange bench.

Anyway, what I noticed yesterday was the amount of interchanges we made. Players would come off for about 2 minutes, have a quick rest and then come back on again. This continued right throughout the match. Vastly diffferent to the Sheedy era.

I don't know if this occured because of the humidity inside the dome yesterday and the fact that we are on a six day break next week or is it going to be something we see all season.

Thought we definitlely looked the fresher of the two teams though in the second half.

By the way, Lonergan was blowing pretty hard whenever he came off. Don't think his fitness is near that of the others at the moment and it would surprise me to see him play against Geelong on Sunday.

It is all controlled by Quinn and his magic new toy now. He moniters everything and co ordinates with Prescott on the bench to make sure all the changes operate smoothly. It will happen all season. They now have acess to live time data on heart rates etc. This is why Prescott was given the specific match day role of controlling the rotations.

We've got a few short weeks compared to competitors over the next few rounds (Geelong has 10 day break over us; Carlton and the Dogs have an extra day to recover).

I suspect it's not only about player rotation (Lloyd mentioned that once fatigued, a player is required to come off) but also the game style and the usual list management.

Knights did mention that there wasn't a lot of focus on tempo play on Footy Classified. Expect the high number of interchanges to continue in the near term.
