Meyer will go to adelaide and be a star!!

But 90% of posters will sell him down the river.
I have no doubt in this, the fact is that if he doesn't want to play for the Tigers then get rid of him, if we could manage to get Meesen for him then it would be a bonus.

Fact is that Adelaide have 3 Ruckman ahead of him atm, that being Ben Hudson, Rhett Biglands(When Fit) and Jonathon Griffin and they also have Kurt Tippet the 201cm 97kg Ruckman picked at 32 in last years draft waiting in the wings, so basically Meesen would not be missed.

If that is a fact then yes he should be moved on. But i have heard conflicting reports. I would be disappointed if we got rid of Danny if he was happy at the club.

I also agree with this but I think he's one of those players that for some reason doesnt work with Richmond.

I also am a fan of Meeson, reckon we'd make much better use of him than Adelaide.

Tigers would want a draft pick 12 or better trade for meyer
That’s a bit simplistic don’t you think? Just because he was taken with pick 12 doesn’t mean he’ll fetch that in return.

I rate Meyer quite highly and I would love for him to be a Crow next season. I guess it comes down to what the Tigers want in return. If Meesen is homesick then the chances of a trade happening definitely increase. It all depends on Meesen’s second half of 2007.

Same with Danny, atm he hasn't shown much at senior level, but in Coburg he blitzes almost every week, if he can transform that to the senior level, watch out!

You seem to be right with a lot of your sources so I'd be very glad to hear if this was the case.

Players like Danny Meyer win you premierships if they come along. As a Coburg watcher he's got me excited.

I remember at the start of the season Nathan Brown played in a prac match abainst Melbourne. Schulz dominated that day and Browny got about 2 possessions, just like Meyer did last week. Last year Danny averaged 10 possies per game and 3 tackles per game. He's played 3 AFL games this year so it's far too early to say he's "dropped off" and if he could go to about a 14 possession average over the next 12 months then he would be earning his spot :thumbsu:

You're all an absolute disgrace with your carry on about Meyer

Give the kid a break and STFU with stupid trade rumours

the trading of Danny Meyer will turn out to be a fiasco for us. If he goes to a club like Adelaide or even Port he will become a 40 goal a year HFF.

As for the innuendo about Meyer, give the kid a break and let him play footy without a pack of rabid ferals riding him.

Meyer need more games with coburg to build himself up like a lot of the ones they blooded this year. its pointless giving them charities in the seniors as that will just wreck their confidence.

Well that's what we have already done. We built him up with Coburg then when we gave him a game he couldn't take the step at the time. He's a class player that hasn't been able to rise to the class of the AFL yet.

Perhaps but I'm starting to think he doesnt want to play for us. He lacks effort and appears not interested when out on the field.

There are some players who naturally looked disinterested, Cogs is one of those players but he puts everything in. Maybe Meyer just looks it, but he really wants it and is just having difficulty atm.

He's done more than what Pettifer did in his first 3 years anyway :p And if Meyer dollows in Pettifer's steps then he'll have enough class to be a matchwinner :D Either way it's our job to support him.

Most of what i've heard about him wanting to go home is from here. But that doesnt neccesarily disprove it.

I think it would be good to send Meyer back to coburg until the split round and have him play of the HBF and thru the midfield. Then tell him he has the rest of the year in the seniors.

I dont think he is as outside or soft as people seem to think. I think its just that he is really down on himself and low on confidence ATM. But it'll come hopefully.

Agree 100%

At Coburg he has shown a bit of mongrel and good inside ball-winning abilities. He's got the skills.

HBF to build confidence then rotate him into the midfield, I noticed he had a short stint in these roles against Essendon.

His confidence must be shot, he's a quiet bloke who is in and out of the side, had to play with a couple of injuries earlier, shaky pre season and now he's just got 2 possessions in a game and probably feels like if White or someone played instead of him Richmond would have won.

I hope he is shown support by the playing group and Terry, I hope he comes good for us.

yeah i have high hopes for him, but if he does want to go 'home' then by all means trade him, for meeson would be a good trade and if he went on to be a champ at the crows then what can you do. we would never get his value if he is prepared to walk.
