Interesting problem with Toshiba Laptop DVD player

On almost every dvd I have played on my laptop (and there are lots of them), if it is TV series with episodes, for some reason, if there are 4 episodes on the disk, the third one always crashes. Then the 4th one plays fine. Always the third one. Anyone have any ideas about this? It's got me stumped.

Try updating the drivers for the DVD on the laptop. Try a different viewing software see if that does the trick.

hmmm i wonder if this is a physical problem when it reaches a particular part of the disc (i.e. 3/4 of the way through) and there are problems with the lens physically reading the disc?
