Has anyone here played this game? If so tell me what you thought of it.

I have played a demo of ICC 2000 and I wouldn't mind buying it. I can't find it anywhere except at eBay in the UK?

I've got it.

A brilliant game for those statistically minded. Obviously the players are a little outdated given it was released at the start of 2002, but it is still a game worth owning.

I got my copy from Harvey Norman for $10, don't play it often these days though.

I downloaded the 2001 version off Kazaa. Very good game. As always though there are a few player attributes that dont match. Unfortunately a database editor was written for this version unlike the previous ones.

It's only a data update on 2001, so it's still got the same game engine flaws, but sadly enough it's still probably the best cricket game going around.

I've seen it at EB Games, but it's pretty expensive for an old game.

Yup, exactly.
Bought mine for $10 at Harvey's as well.
If i saw 2002 out i'd definately be a buyer

Does anybody have any updates for ICC 2001?? It gets a bit outdated with the older players. It would be nice to play with the current squads.

Mind you, in one of my games with Surrey, I'm in year 2025 so needless to say, no current players are left in my squad!

Can you only play with the English county teams in ICC?? If so, is there a version you can play with the Aussie teams and is it any good?

You can play as English county sides or as any test playing nation.
There was an Australian Cricket Captain released a few years ago probably around 99 where you could play as state sides, but I never played so I couldn't tell you if it is any good.

For those still playing the game, make sure you get Matthew Bulbeck when he comes out of contract.

The guy is brilliant in that game. I had him batting at 3 and averaging 45, and opening the bowling and averaging 21.

I havent played the version since ICC 2000. In that game as i reach the end of the season the scores of each game end up extremely low...like at the start of the game i can usually have totals like 7/370 for example, but 9 months later every game seems to end up with a total 75-140 runs.
Did anyone else seem to have that problem?

He is as good as Ian Botham in the game. Bats like Gilchrist, with me he averaged 62 with the bat and averaged 26 with the bowl (very good with the old ball) in tests.

I'm playing as captain of Zimbabwe and ranked 4th in tests (2008). I currently have the top two batsmen in the world (Hamilton Masakadza is number 1). I don't worry about one-dayers, just tests.
