Internet Filter plans, will we be effected?

Looks like they are going to push on with that ridiculous filter and start banning websites in Australia, besides the obvious of it being a joke, will it effect us as far as poker go's? Originally there was a list that had poker sites listed but then the government came out and said it wasn't their list and was compiled by an outside source.

So anyone have any information on how this will impact us if at all?

It won't. It still isn't 100% to go through and to be honest I doubt they will push it through.

I actually wrote to Conroy to question why the ACMA blacklist is full of gambling websites. It turns out that the legislation already exists (the IGA) to *require* ISPs to filter gambling websites, and it is only practical issues that prevent this from actually happening already.
