While I agree with everyone that we had the right to offer the players these deals AND Easy seem to agree with them I just cannot believe that our leaders did not do it in a way that could stop it from coming back to hurt us.

IF we are found guilty & fined we will continue to face crap from everyone for being cheats. Why can't our administrators do it right the first time?

I think it's great that we will get away with it with a fine. Oppositions fans (especially Carlton) are bleeding over it.

Let me give an analogy between Dons & Blues:

Dons:
I go up to a counter and say I want a Mars bar without paying. The guy behind the counter says yes so I take it. The manager then says I stole it so I am charged even though the guy behind the counter said I could.

Blues:
I back a truck up to the doors of the shop at night in the dark when no one is around and take "everything" from the shop. One of my helpers (who didn't get his full share when promised) then tells the cops so I get the book thrown at me.

Yeah seems about the same to me!

You obviously take football a bit too seriously if, you as a supporter, will face 'crap' for a bad business deal conducted by a group of men you have never/probably will never meet involving 2 footballers in the above listed category.

These men are trying to do things in order to improve the club and at the time, gained legal representations which told them that there was nothing wrong with what they were doing. They also spoke with the AFL about the situation and were informed the deal they were making was legit.

I think you need to realise that whilst supporters and members are vital at the end of the day the sun is going to come up tomorrow whether your club finishes 1st or 16th and whether 'we will continue to face crap from everyone for being cheats' or not!

To be perfectly honest with you Cupido13, while I am annoyed about it, ultimately I couldn't give a rats you-know-what! I take footy as seriously as you do and now the season is over I will focus on NFL & Cricket like I do every yr.

Next time you post something focus on the topic and not on the poster.
