Haven't been close enough, or plugged in enough to have an informed opinion on the second part.

How do we attract new Players (other than cold calling)?

Ok, so going off the record here.

Why didn't it happen? Who do you (not just you specifically, I mean club leaders) think is supposed to make them happen?

When I was in committee with TDC, Baz, Agent, mang etc etc it was the club skippers driving them, the admin just basically gave their blessing to make it an 'official' Sweet FA tour and not just a rogue plague of the Bigfooty forum.

I see no reason why yourself and sportsy, Colorado, tony, Bob, AUR etc etc can't be consistently doing the same now.

That's not an attack by the way, because to be fair to you, that sort of initiative and custodianship would be so foreign to the current crop of skippers because that legacy piece of closely reviewing the rules, debating All-SFA selections, and running club tours and mid season exhibition matches and the like just wasn't passed on down the line.
