Thanks to everyone that contributed match reports. It's much appreciated by those of us who weren't able to get to the game. (might have to chuck a sickie next Friday)

Good to hear McDougall is fit (touch wood) and ready to go in this years Wizard Cup. This would probably be his first uninterrupted pre-season since he was first drafted.

Kicking goals on a rookie like Jaymie Grayham probably doesn't mean much in the long run, but there's no doubt he would have taken some confidence away from the game. Baseless confidence is better than no confidence at all - which is how McDougall usually looks out on the field.

Interesting to hear that Danny Chook is looking good, as well. I worry about the injury problems he's had over the last couple of years, but I would absolutely love to see him play predominantly in the middle this year. With his size, physicality and accountability he would really help take our midfield right up alongside Brisbane's.

Great review by everyone - thanks so much for taking the time to write them up. Unfortunately I was working on Friday so couldn't make it - but I believe they are having another scratch match next Friday - so will definately make it down to that.

Thanks to all for your reports but especially Mead, it was a great read.

I thank you all for this as it is hard to understand how your team and players are going when you live in Melbourne as i do. The papers are all about Victorian teams, so it is nice to come on here and have a great read of a well written report.
