This may be old news for some but I heard the other day that INXS are going to run a reality show to find a new frontman.
After doing a Google search this appear to be the most recent news however, there are many more web pages about the story.

Australian group INXS are holding auditions in six continents in search of a replacement for tragic singer Michael Hutchence - as part of a reality TV series.
The band are being filmed for INXS Rock Star in their pursuit to find a suitable frontman to record an album and tour with the group.
Hutchence died aged 37 following a suspected suicide in November 1997.
Auditions have already been held in America and Canada, and wannabe frontmen based in England performed last week at London's Shepherd Bush's Empire.
INXS fan George Condous says: "The fact that eight years have passed since Michael Hutchence's death makes the whole experience less daunting for a new frontman."
INXS guitarist Tim Farriss explains: "After Michael died, we wanted to search the world for a new singer but didn't know how we could effectively do that."
The series will be screened by American television network CBS in July.

I would imagine it would definately been shown here in Aus aswell. I remember reading an interview with Jon Stevens about why he left and he was frustrated by not writing any news music and only performing from the bands previous collection of songs.
Regardless of your opinion of Jon Stevens fronting the band, I'm guessing anyone that takes on the role will be in the same situation. Of course that situation would make NO difference in many cases.
This is one reality show I think I would watch. It would be interesting to see the process and here from the band members.
Makes me think of AC/DC and Kiss when they were looking for new members.

INXS Reality Check
INXS will take part in a reality TV show to find a new singer. Mark Burnett Production, who produced 'Survivor' and 'The Apprentice' have teamed with INXS to create 'Rock Star'.
The members of INXS, Andrew, Tim and Jon Farriss, Kirk Pengilly and Gary Beers, will work on the show and conduct workshops to find someone capable of filling in the position vacated by Michael Hutchence and more recently Jon Stevens. The winner will record an album with INXS and tour the world.
"Times have changed and television is now a valued medium to reach people all over the world. Mark's record speaks for itself - he is an amazing producer and we are confident that together we are going to create something very different and very special, "Andrew Farriss said in a statement.
After the death of Michael Hutchence in 1997, INXS have performed with Terence Trent D'Arby on vocals. In 2002, former Nosieworks singer Jon Stevens officially became the new singer but left a year later citing frustrations with reluctance by the band to record a new album. After Stevens departure, some reports claimed former Baby Animals singer Suze DiMarchi was to become the new lead singer but that was never confirmed and never eventuated.
"After Michael died, we wanted to search the world for a new singer but didn't know how we could effectively do that," INXS member Tim Farriss said. "By having Mark and everyone at MBP embrace the concept, we've now found a fantastic way to make that happen."
Rock Star is already in pre-production and will air in 2005.
