Does anyone here know much about these things? I was considering buying an iPod dock earlier in the year but I wasn't too keen on spending heaps of money and just ended up buying an auxilliary cord instead. Whilst the cord wasn't a bad investment (cost $10) I've noticed that if the songs are only slightly off good quality then they sound crap. I'm sort of looking into getting one again, but it seems that unless I wanna spend upwards of around $350 I'll be disappointed.

We have a Bose sound dock series 2. Got it on special at David Jones 2 years ago for $325.

Great investment and great sound. Listen to it every day on varying volumes and have no complaints at all. Have never cranked it right up due to where we live but have had it quite loud and the sound quality is perfect.

Edit: wife just said it was myer not dj's.

Got a Philips for around $200 recently. Great sound with a nice CD player/Radio.

Had a Bose for 3 years also, sounds marginally better but think is still double the price of the Philips.
