IPOD TOUCH Unlocking

I've got a friend who's got an iPod touch, they have never plugged it into a computer and have only been on the market-place for games and stuff on their iPod. Their friend got a hold of the iPod and proceeded to lock it out jokingly. How do they unlock it? Whenever she plugs it into her computer it says to unlock the iPod enter your code. Yet on the iPod it says Plug into a computer to unlock.

When you access it in iTunes, can't you just restore it?

Happened to me with my iPhone, method should still work with the iPod.

1. Open up iTunes, don't plug your iPod in
2. Switch the iPod off
3. Hold the home button for a few seconds, then plug the iPod into your computer via USB cable while still holding the home button down
4. A pop-up should then come up saying that an iPod has been detected in recovery mode and if you'd like to restore it
5. Click restore. iTunes will then proceed to download the latest firmware. You have the choice to set up the iPod as if it was new, or apply the latest backup to it.
