Squeeze the US economy hard enough to provoke the downturn that ensures Trump is not reelected.
But they gotta ensure it doesn't allow the US to start a short bombing war that gets him reelected.
Ramping up the oil price is a good way to do this.

Yeah, but his base is virulently anti-war.
One salvo of missiles after a "gas attack" is the limit they can handle.
Americans in body bags, nah, nah.
Not sure about this - Trump has shown to be the master of zero accountability and his base love it. Hard to see them move away if the conflict doesn't go to plan (which it won't).
