This kid is absurdly talented, kicks equally well on both feet and was the best player in the Gaelic Football U18 competition last year as an U17. See this video him dominating his schools comp last year

BUT...he's also extremely light and I'd worry if he could put on the necessary weight to play AFL. Having said that if he can kick four goals in his first ever game of Aussie Rules against the cream of the AIS then he's definitely worth a look.

If he was a fish we'd have to throw him back for being under-sized. Do not want. Marty Clarke was meant to be some champion Gaelic football player and look how he turned out.

I wonder if our poor track record in successfully developing Irish players will start coming back to haunt us when having to compete for signatures...

I doubt it to be honest, most wouldn't have much knowledge of AFL to begin with and the fact that we have two Irish here already is a bonus. Plus Marty is certainly viewed as a success story back at home.

Ironically given all the talk about their inability to develop players, Brisbane have had the most success of late. Obviously they have a genuine star in Hanley and got 20 or so serviceable games out of McKeever and Begley.
