Does anyone else think we should have a crack at pick 2? I'm thinking pick 12 Foley and Nahas would tempt GWS into a trade. Thoughts?
 
Well that dream was short lived... lol In all seriousness, they have shown interest in Foley haven't they?

We have already said we will be delisting Nahas, no reason for GWS to trade from him even if they did want him. Would need to give up pick 12 + someone like Conca for pick 2.

Unfortunately it wouldn't get us close.

Pick 12 + an injury prone 28 year old we dropped for our most important game in a decade + a guy no one wants and will be delisted.

Good luck with that. He is contracted until the end of 2015.
 
Pick 12 and Deledio might get it done - not saying we should do it but that is the kind of currency we would need to be offering. Foley, sadly, wouldn't be worth much due to age and injury history.

lids by himself would get it done. We were offered pick 2 last year by GWS for lids but we said no
 
Yer and throw in Post as well.... GWS don't want fringe players. They don't even want middle of the road players.

What everyone seems to forget is that GWS have to reduce its list size by 3 and then another three to participate in the ND. That's 6 players.... seven now that they have Mumford on the way... ok they let go Tyson, back to 6... they'll get Shaw so back to 7 ... etc... etc.. So if they add more players they have to delist more quality youngsters. All they are interested is to get the best 3 maybe 4 draft picks they can possible get.
At the moment they have 1,2, 21, 22 ..... and they are after one of the pies top 2 picks....

So the trade IMO will be Adams and pick 21 for Collingwoods Heath Shaw and 11.

We would be much better off chasing pick 22...

I hope you're right.

Question: take the rose coloured glasses off for a minute, what do you think Lids would get us at a trade table now?

GWS certainly wouldnt swap their number 1 pick for him and l reckon they wouldnt even do number 2 for him.

We'd get pick 2 but not pick 1. There is a big gap between Boyd and the rest. Often there is a few top shelf prospects, this year not really.
