I'm going to fairly assume the op is talking about the loss in the semi against the aints at vfl park.

If I am correct, I'm going to fairly assume also that there is some sort of correlation from that season to now.

IMV the difference between those seasons is that in 92 we weren't dominant, compared to this year where we were, but no longer, now we're just making up the numbers and aren't really contending.

1992 was more about some bad timing with injuries and getting the raw end of a stupid short lived finals system.
There's nothing stopping the Pies winning this year's flag other than poor form from certain top line players.
