An unusual, possibly unique, occurrence from the Sydney AFL.
Tim Jones is coaching UNSW-Eastern Suburbs in 2006. 2004 coach Lex Vasdekis and 2005 coach Troy Luff are no longer coaching, but both have stayed on as players and both played under Jones' coaching in the opening round of 2006.
It's certainly unusual, and may never have happened before, that someone has coached a team and had two former coaches of that team playing under him.
Has it ever happened before?

Yes. Rushworth, playing in the Kyabram District FL won the 2004 premiership with 2 ex coaches in Jamie Waarsdorp and Brett Pateman both playing under coach Scott Hansen..

it's also happening at Lancaster in the kdfl this year.
Andrew Parsons(2004) and Andrews Thomas(2005) are both playing under Corey Carver. Two other former coaches have also returned to the club with Carver.

Happens quite offen i would of thought i could think of many teams in the CMFL where this has happened.

I know this is a bit of the course of this thread but in 2004 GRFL Premiers side Ultima, there was 1 past, 2 present (joint coaches that year) and 2 future coaches (2005 and 2006) playing in that side and 4 past present and future Assistant coaches in the same side. That means that in that premiership side, there were 9 players that have now been in a coaches roll at that club.

Done your homework there jimmyboy:thumbsu: Must be a good club and atmosphere on/off the field for all them coaches to be hanging around:)

Happened at Yea in 2005, Chris Pollard and Matt Finch played under yours truly. Guess it comes down to the feeling of the joint, if you got something special worth promoting it's not too hard to attract players.
