Over here in Nth America we have the Melbourne Cup Simulcast and one of the unique bets we have is" Whom will cross the finish line last" the horse must finish and cant pull up lame or riderless-and all horses pay the same 5-1 odds.

Any Ideas downunder on whom will be last.
Usually you expect the longest shot on the tote to come last but that seems to rarely happen.

This has been done is Australia before, but when a short priced fav waltzed into last position and some blokes made quite a few bob, it was a bit farcical.
