I was on an annual salary of $29,505, clearing $922 a fortnight.
I am now on $35,367 but it appears l won't even be clearing $1000 a fortnight now after tax.

Is this correct? Almost a $6K annual increase, yet only its only about $30 a week after tax?
Am l being dudded?

does seem a bit high - @$120 per week gross to $30 net
unless you have any deductions for maintenance or anything else goin out or hecs kicking in becuse your salary's gone up then check with your payroll that they haven't stuck in a wrong code - being human it is possible to key in the wrong data

Unless you have no tax file number or no tax free threshold, it seems you may be losing out.

The upside is that you'll get it back when you put in your return.

A few years back I was on about 36K. I think I cleared just over $2400 per month, so you should be looking at around $1200+.
