People forgetting he was a handy premiership ruckman?

Also, he hasn’t had off field issues.
He requested a trade. So have others. Soldo gets along with the other players fine.

At this point, he’s worth having a throw at the stumps; it can't be any worse than the baths that Viz and Sweet have got.

We need something different in the rucks.

Let’s get an older head in Soldo to take on TDK. It’s not like we’re in a position to tank and get a high draft pick from it, and it’s not like if we lost the next couple that this current board is capable of doing the right thing and sacking Ken. They had plenty of opportunities and still remain trigger-shy. The club will give Ken his wish and parade him around the AO like he’s Father Christmas at the Christmas pageant.

So I’d give Soldo a go and hopefully he brings something positive.

* even tho on a side note after all the shenanigans that he did last year his bloody undeserving of his spot we still something different.

Stats wise there isn't a lot of difference between Soldo and Sweet but at this stage I'd be happy to give Soldo another crack at it. Regardless as to who we play it should only be one ruckman.

Soldo is out of contract at the end of this season and it is unlikely that he will continue at Alberton, maybe that will influence selection?

I’ve had this mentality since the Carlton game.

I can’t see what’s the harm in playing Soldo, it’s a throw at the stumps since Vis and Sweet aren’t performing, and we need to boost his trade value somehow; Again I don’t see the harm in it.

He completed dominated the Norwood rucks however as far as I could see, his tap work was to the correct player but they could not break the Norwood pressure. On occasions Ivan grabbed the ball & kicked it forward himself. He even managed some monster contested pack marks. From my observation I would play him against the Eagles

Matt Flynn is probs one of the weakest starting ruckman in the AFL, would be a good introduction game for Ivan.

He has fantastic connection with Butters and JHF, Vis and sweet havent had good connection with the mids this year.

It's staying fit that has always been his bugbear.

I disagree I reckon Sweet had a patch last year that was better than anything Ivan produced, Sweet has been pretty woeful since unfortunately.

Nah we need something that’ll give us points to on trade this year or match a bid next year. Needs to be within the first three rounds. Port covering a bit of the contract should see this happen.

If the Saints want to get TDK for free (draft pick wise) and cash in on Rohan Marshall for some picks then getting a back up ruck like Soldo would be handy.
