Hey, i heard a rumour from somone that Rapper Ja Rule is dead. Does anyone know if this is true or if its fake ??

He was involved in a shooting - his second one this week.

Doubt if he will see out 2005. He has got Tupac written all over him.

One week after a fan was shot outside a Ja Rule afterparty in Peoria, Illinois, a man was killed and another wounded Monday morning outside a New York club where the rapper was hosting a party.

Ja's after-Christmas bash at the LQ club was interrupted at 3:45 a.m. Monday when shots rang out across the street from the nightspot, killing an as-yet-unidentified 39-year-old man and wounding his friend in the stomach, according to Detective John Sweeney of the New York Police Department.

The shooter and a friend reportedly ran out of the club after an argument and opened fire on the two men standing on the corner, hitting one of them fatally in the torso. The victim drove himself to the 17th precinct station house to report the shooting and was taken to an area hospital, where he died Monday afternoon.

More than 300 people were inside the club at the time, reportedly including "Fat Albert" star Kenan Thompson, though it is unknown if Ja was present when the shots rang out.

Police are still investigating the shooting and have not yet announced a motive. A spokesperson for Ja Rule could not be reached at press time.

The suspect was described as an African-American male in his 20s who was wearing a yellow coat as he fled the scene.

Police in Peoria are investigating the nightclub shooting that occurred December 20 during a party for Ja after he finished performing at the Peoria Civic Center (see "Fight Breaks Out At Ja Rule Afterparty; One Man Shot").
