If you cant win it in 2 dont keep failing at it, its only going to kill your career.

Lawson has perhaps shown driving elsewhere and fighting for another championship shows his adaptability and gets his name out there as aposed to a drugovich who persisted to win f2 on the 3rd attempt and de vries who did perviously who have gone no where with it.

Doohan is in for all the post season testing so if Alpine had forgotten him and moved onto martins they would have switched that over by now, he will probably drive an alpine backed car in another series as I suspect was the plan anyway with gasly and ocon in the seats.

Leaving F2 with a dominate feature race win and p3 in the championship, would have to be an implosion between ocon and gasly for him to get a seat in f1 at any point though.

His only chance would be his dads name getting him into williams seat but thats surely 0.1% at this point. Wonder what he tries to do next year either go super formula/formula E to push for f1 still or give up and branch into other motorsport
