Jack White

[Catfish Alley]

So, I just wanted to get people's opinion on Jack White. I went to his show the other night and thought it was awesome I'm a pretty big fan of all of his bands. Really like the way he can switch tempo and mix rock with blues and country.

Just a big talent. I admire the fact he can play various style guitar, keyboard, piano and is also a clever songwriter. Probably the best guitarist I've seen. Also love the fact he played a small venue with limited lighting and no big screens so it would be affordable to fans. Only $45 a ticket. His all-female touring band 'The Peacocks' did a great job keeping pace with him. Carla Azar is a kick-ass drummer.

Anyway, I saw this show in Vancouver. Not sure if he's coming to Australia soon but if so, I recommend checking him out.

Haven't been a big fan, knew a few of the Stripes hits etc.

Got my hands on his solo album last week though and it's getting a few spins. Pretty good.
