Just saw a snippett of Mark Jackson on Open Mike about 5 minutes ago.
It didn't look like it was a send up and it did look like Mark was really angry, now maybe it was the worst part they showed to get everybody to watch, I just don't think so.
I have always admired Jacko as a player and a show biz typed fellow and I am still hoping that this is informative and not an awkward nasty name calling act from Mark.
Because he could really tell a story , and if this turns into a shit fight on TV he has done himself a disservice and Mike as well.
Mike says, now, and said in the past what he thinks, and isn't afraid to OWN his comments .

Jacko I hope shows some intelligence, and answers some questions without his obsessional need it seems to be a smart alec. Or an abuser.
Because he is a fascinating critter. Next Tuesday!!!!! LOOK OUT!

Saw the snippet as well. Jacko just looked like he wanted an argument with Mike at every turn. Will probably tune in next week just to see if its as bad as Gerard on 360 made it out to be.

Says a lot that a bloke who had all the talent in the world is plugging goddamn windshields on an interview about his life. Lunatic.

It's an act. All part of Fox Retro Round. Whateley was trying to build something pretending it's serious, Sheahan was clearly playing along (I've had plenty of arguments" etc...)

Fox will no doubt try to keep it up as its all part of the retro legends. Acting mental is Jackos meal ticket and always has been.

I saw him on stage years ago at a sportsmans night and he was like that, truly mental and unhinged. Afterwards having a few beers he had endless time for everybody and was a genuinely friendly bloke.

Lol..I reckon you're spot on there.

I was sucked in for sure. Jacko has been acting the fool/mentalcase since debut match.

Haha..can't believe I fell for that

Holds the record for most consecutive games while kicking one or more goals from debut - held goalless for the first time in his 80th game and only played two more matches.

Fair to say there wasn't the same emphasis on defence back then as now - especially against Melbourne and St.Kilda - but his record of 82 games/308 goals stacks up pretty well.

He had a pretty tough upbringing I think, and was a pretty tough young bloke I would have thought, but I reckon he mellowed and matured. Acting the nutter (plus he has the head for it) when younger got him a lot of attention so he's always kept it up and been relatively happy to play the fool I think.

Think he's made and lost a few fortunes. They interviewed him on WoS very early on when he was working as a roof tiler - could barely string two words together.

He's basically the all time League best actor of ridiculous behaviour on the field.

There's no other player who comes close to the kind of crap he carried on with. Some of it funny but mostly it's embarrassing looking back.
( I remember as a teenager thinking he was seriously brain damaged and somehow got a spot on a VFL team dispite his unfortunate disability.)

But at the time he could back it up by kicking goals.

With a head like his and a voice like a cartoon character, it's no wonder he decided to stay in character and try and somehow make a living out of it.

#### knows how he managed to score a staring role on a US tv series..it's unbelievable really but the guy is not completely stupid.

Might seem like a simple question - but i wouldnt mind knowing who he barracks for or supports now - seeing he played with 4 clubs

Hes quoted as not giving a red rats arse about footy. He played it and had no interest once he finished.

Growing up in SA we never understood how any team could have someone representing their club who carried on like that, regardless of talent. There was the odd bloke like Granger who used to deck a few blokes but not all the lunatic stuff Jacko did. Now i'm older i think he is piss funny.
