I believe - and please correct me if I am wrong - that we have 1 or 2 additional spaces on our Rookie List going into 2021. Given that, I have been closely watching as much as I can on both Jackson Callow (from Tasmania) & Kaine Baldwin (from SA). In light of Knightmare's comments both before & after the recent AFL National Draft on both of these players, I think that the club should invest in at least one of these 2 players given our key forward deficiencies as they appear to be both tall forwards who can take contested marks. Personally, I am more in favour of Callow at present as he does not have a history of recent serious injuries such as ACL's (as is the case with Baldwin unfortunately). I am also very mindful of one of Knightmare's recently publicised criteria for recruiting; namely durability. He pointed out that it is a criterion that a lot of recruiters seem to have either ignored and/or underlooked in recent years. I think that there may be a lot of potential upside with Baldwin but given our recent record of recruiting players with pre-existing injuries both in terms of the AFL Draft and/or trades, I think a safer option would be to rookie Jackson Callow from Launceston. Any thoughts or comments. Goodnight & good luck.
