For anyone uneducated, Jake and Amir was a long-running YouTube series on the channel College Humour from around 2008 (I think) through to 2013 (I think). The basic premise of the show was literally Jake and Amir sitting at their desks at work with Amir as 'the comic' relaying (occasionally fictional) stories to the 'straight man' Jake. Amir is a horrible human being with an unhealthy obsession with Jake whilst Jake is extremely insecure and will sometime diverge from his straight man routine.
It's hard to explain without watching it but for such a simple premise and minimal production, it was an incredibly long lasting and original show.
