i really want to see him played in the forward line. with him there and nahas hopefully often repeating his game last week, we could be putting on some serious pressure in the forward line. then we can afford to play someone like brown who wont tackle but can pounce on the loose ball.

What are you guys doing with this guy? He doesn't seem to be getting much game time even though he has been a great player in recent times. I really enjoy watching him play and he seems to be dropped alot these days, is there any real reason why? If nothing happens in the remainder of this year, do any of you see him as potential trade bait? I know if he was up for trade I would love my club to grab him.

Surely his best position is as a tagger?? i cant see were u can go wrong, tell him to forget about getting the ball and stop the oppositions best and i think he would be a near certain starter week in week out. Not only would he be the tigers best option to stop one of the oppositions best, but all his possesions would be contested therefore forcing him to handball more and reducing the amount of clanger kicks from the backline that result in goals?? He has the ability to play a kirk type role, maybe not as effective offensivly but similiar defensivly.

He's had more than enough chances. When he played this year he was awful, cost the side at least 3 goals from his turnovers. I like his determination and attack on the ball but just isnt up to it.

man you are SO generous! he cost us at least three just against the cats. his shocking pass to daniel jackson (iirc) that went just over his head and straight to a geelong player which resulted in a goal was just typical of him. and then there was that kick from full back that went straight to the cats for a quick goal (and another straight after due to luke mcguannes punch) killed off our chances in that game when we had them on the ropes. i admire his spirit but if you dont have the skill there is no place for you.

nope. best position is back pocket. for coburg. another club is welcome to him and pencil in three or four more goals for us when we play them.

I think a lot of people jumped on board the Jake King bandwagon after his 1st few games not realising how old he actually was I remember hearing people saying "oh this guy is gonna be a gun when he gets older" but really at 23 was he really going to get much better???

I gave the little bloke a chance because of the agressive way he played the game but after his piss poor effort on milne in the st kilda match last year where he was practically gifting milney goals I lost all respect for him as a footballer. Maybe the best option for him is to be traded to an already skillful team where he can use his aggression as a hardnut scrapper type role you know the type who will fight for the ball then dish out to the skillful receivers that said anything better than a 4th round pick for him woild be like winning tattslotto.
