Should the cats get some and bring them to training??

Because it looks like there are a number of players who need practice kicking over one of them

Mooney, Johnson, Hawkins, Mackie, Varcoe all are really struggling to kick even 35-40 metres

What is the go??

Johnson/Varcoe always struggle to kick it 40+. Mooney has to hit it perfect to get it to travel the 50. Mackie... he generally kicks them on the run, always a bit easier it seems. Hawkins just doesnt want to bloody kick the thing through the sticks.

If Moons is happy to kick 7 from inside 50, then I'm not too fussed. The team is winning, does it matter where they kick them from?

Well, they couldn't kick any further last year but it didn't seem to bother them. Most of our forward line get their possessions inside 40 so it's not a huge deal most of the time. I agree though if you've got a couple of blokes that regularly kick them from 50 they're worth their weight in gold. I'd like Enright to have more shots at goal but there you go.

Seems funny reading this thread after watching the highlights package in the commentary thread and seeing Ablett Snr regularly booting 60-65-70 meter goals with a wet mud caked football.

I was always a fan of a booming kick...I wonder how Ben Graham is doing, Last I heard he was given a spell from kicking.
