Oppo Camp James Aish (Traded to Freo 2019)

He started getting more involved in that Tigers JLT match but needs to do better with the ball. It's between him and Broomy for me, hopefully Broomy can get fit and they take each other to another level.

At Moment Aish is Miles ahead of Broomhead. Broomhead has too many Injury Problems

Therein is the problem because he won't be in our best options for inside roles. The coaches job is on the line and the club has stated it is going for broke to make finals. In other words this is not a year in which we should be playing players for the sake of development for the future; or experimenting; but rather purely playing the best players most likely to give us a win week to week. If this is the agenda for selection then Aish is going to have to hugely improve his output and consistency of output in the role he is given in order to remain in the team.
He has a future with us no doubt; but this year in particular, we can't afford to carry too many of his low impact 10 possession Mr-invisible-midfielder games.

I agree with you in so far as with a fit and in form midfield brigade Aish is not best 22. However at this point in time he is first cab off the rank for mine and given the clubs injury history over the last few years and already with Wells likely to miss at least round 1 I reckon Aish will be playing.

It won't bother me at all if he is. I think he will be a terrific player for us when it comes together for him. But this year in particular he will have to have a lot less of the Mr invisibility games if he wants to stay in the side.

I'd like to see both in the 22, think they bring slightly different traits to the team. But I'm not sure why it matters if they both start the 2017 season in the VFL. They'll get their opportunities if their form merits it.

I think we can agree that applies to every player that takes the field.

I've not noticed Pendles, Treloar, Adams, Sidey, Reid etc suffering from this condition in previous years

You seem to have misread my post, my point is that any player that goes missing too regularly will get dropped, not that every player in the team regularly goes missing. Just how long that takes depends on how many credits they have in the bank.

On Aish specifically his form in the back half of last year should have seen him earn at least a couple of get out of jail free cards but he shouldn't be able to survive the cull if repeats his JLT 1&2 performances more than once in the regular season.

Well I remember Wellingham having lot of those Games and not getting Dropped

Before we get too hard on the lad.....

Aish had more disposals in his first four games than Reid had in his first three seasons.....

Given that they are both top ten picks and look what happened to Reidy in his 4th year I'm tipping a monster year for Aishy this year ;)

He looked like he was ready to break out last year against Richmond - awful game but he was taking screamers all over the place. Now he seems lost out there.

Still better then last year when he could not even get a Touch. He did miss a Game from Illness so might be bit out of Touch or still not over it

Has been overtaken by WHE and Phillips.. where is he at?

I hope Aish and WHE aren't competing for the same spot as I think they're different player types
WHE has height agility and provides us with spark through his s factor
I see Aish as silk on the outside (I think he can go inside as well) and as a player to release other players
I think Broomy and Aishy are probably more like-for-like in terms of position
However, whether Aish makes it or not is another issue - I so hope he does as if he puts it all together we have a beautiful link/ distributer

He was soft as butter if any other player had played like him you'd have been scathing.. I'm wondering where he plays because I don't think he makes our midfield

Jezz. You have guys like Blair that Did nothing and you say Aish was Crap
