Launch Yuletide eve…..strap yourselves in, shits going to get real up close!

Considering the Hubble (for example) found something like 10,000 galaxies in a small patch of space considered 'empty' by Earth based ground stations this should give us some amazing images when operational.

The accuracy needed to function is truly mind blowing. One scientist interviewed mentioned that once it's in position it will still take 4 months to unfold & calibrate itself.

Let’s just hope those big brained girls and guys have all their contingencies lined up.
It’s freaking exciting, here’s to a clean launch and they’ll take it from there.
Identifying gases and atmospheric conditions around earth like planets is the real big ticket item to me personally.
But the almost time machine like measuring of the earliest stars and galaxy formation to within a cupla hundred million years of the Big Bang has me pretty pumped as well.
Might watch the launch with the 2001 Space Odyssey music on repeat, got it on vinyl but the decks are still in for repairs😒

really getting into it now. Our knowledge curve might be getting a huge upswing soon

Yea heard its around 6 months altogether from launch date. Hope everything goes right. Potentially massive leap for mankind if its all functional. 20+ years in the making.

* yeah
Most of us might just be completely moronic idiots and not worthy of what this reality offers us, but there are a small percentage that are not and they are about to take us all on our greatest journey so far.
Thanks to the people on the front carriage of Jim Jeffries train, we owe you guys and gals a helluva lot for never giving up on the rest of us!!👍♥️🤛

I heard a NASA scientist saying there are 7000 galaxies in that image. The image is a piece of sky is the size of a grain of sand to the naked eye. Our galaxy is estimated to have 100 - 400 billion stars.

And this known universe is potentially a grain of sand in a larger universe
Even if another universe branches out from a black hole or something, it's got to be a part of something larger right.
