Helluva good story.

I loved Tape, though perhaps not as much as the bloke in this story.

He wore the #5 well and he used to take those third up marks really nicely - I recall hearing Leigh Matthews say that he was about the best in the game at it at one point.

A great memory from '95 and gone too soon.

Very shy and lovey person, Jamie
Had the pleasure of being at a barbecue with him way back in the '90s.
Still got the video
Too young to die :(

Just waiting for some knob on this board to pipe and say what a wasted draft pick he was and bag him out ...etc etc etc

Stories like this one should make people think twice about the negativity they throw about some times .

Great story :thumbsu:

If they held a best and fairest vote count from the halfway point of 95 to halfway through 96 Sticky would be a best and fairest winner

I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie back in 1998 after training one day. He was a real gentleman. He had just seemed to settle in and play some good football for us when injuries struck him down a few times. Glad to see he is still remembered.

tears in my eyes. stickyt was a great clubman and very handy, hey he wore the yellow and black and thats more than a whole lotta other people
awesome story loved sticky as well never forget tjhat game against the eagles in 95 at optus oval when he had eyes only for the ball and he and mark neeld rand in to each other and wrer ko:d ah what a legend R.I,P jamie

Great times 95.

We didn't have champions but guts and Tiger passion,Northey instilled belief in the players and we almost pulled off a flag.

Tape was a big part of that work hard ethic.

R.I.P. Sticky.

Tough. When I think of Jamie Tape, I think of that great front-on tackle he laid on Calthorpe in the '95 semi. The call from Robbo: "Stand up son! And he did!" Courageous.
