Won't say much, but drove a few talented players away because of the way he coached. Nevertheless didn't have much stock to coach with in the first place

Was always going to only stay in WA for two years. Didn't have too much to start with and spent two years headbutting a brick wall because the establishment at the club doesn't want change and wants to keep doing what they have always done.

Good luck to whoever comes in next, you're going to need it.

How do you mean?

The phrase "we have never done that at Perth so we won't start now" has been used more than a few times.

Plus they have a few very talented kids that have moved house and play in other teams zones. These kids have no chance of a call up to the colts team because they never get watched by the Perth colts guys. They have no interest in going to watch them play.

One of them plays APS and was in line to get a state screening invite but he doesn't qualify because Perth haven't seen him play all year and he hasn't played colts yet.

Disappointing to hear. There's obviously some deep-rooted problems at the club that never seem to get addressed. It just gets more and more depressing each year.

Yes from my position on the grassy knoll, it appears that the powers who be at Perth are not perceptive to change. Having talked to a number of current and former Perth players, the club seems to be caught in a time warp, not prepared to open their eyes to new ideas.

When you look at it, where is their supporter base being drawn from ........... now there is another debate. Lathlain is an older area, where are the youngsters coming from, Thornlie ?.

Watched this kid again on the weekend, he is an absolute gem. Country kid from a great family, fast as lightning, able to find his way around defenders, good kick especially on goal.

A couple of other teams are circling, waiting for him to turn 18, just going to be up to him if he stays in Perth or goes back to the country. If he played colts for Perth this year he would be a cert to be drafted.
